District Announcements
Opportunity to Transfer into Rogers School District
The Rogers School District is accepting requests for nonresident students to transfer into the district as required by the Public School Choice Act of 2013 and the applicable rules and guidelines for School Choice issued by the Arkansas Department of Education, unless the student’s transfer creates the need for additional staff, services or facilities or causes the resident school district to exceed its transfer limit. By June 1, 2013, the parent/guardian of interested students must complete an application at the Rogers School District’s administration office at 500 W. Walnut St. and provide a copy to their resident school district. All 7-12th grade students will also need administrators from both districts to sign a Changing Schools/Athletic Participation (CSAP) Form.
See what Rogers has to offer!
New Student Enrollment
Welcome to Rogers! New student enrollment for elementary students in grades 1-5 begins April 22 (or April 29 at Eastside). Kindergarten registration is ongoing at their boundary school. Students in grades 6-12 who will be new to the district may register Aug. 6-7 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Enrollment forms and information on documents needed are available online if you would like to fill them out in advance. Also, visit our Newcomer web page - a great source of information for families new to the district.
Boundary Change
Due to growth in the district, an adjustment is needed to add a new elementary school to the feeder pattern and balance the enrollment among the schools. On March 12, the school board voted to approve the boundary committee's proposal but it modified the proposal to expand the grandfathering to allow all current secondary students affected by the change the option to remain in their current school and feeder pattern.
